Baby Shower

Today was my first baby shower! Cody's family threw it for all the family to come. It was really fun and so nice of my mother-in-law and sisters-in-law to throw it!! I LOVE being center of attention, but usually find these thing kind of awkward! Maybe I just like to steal other peoples attention... I am not sure but it was really fun and really nice!! Thanks for everyone that came and all the nice things we got. We definitely made out with some great things! Cody's sister Stefanie crocheted a blanket, and Jamie made us a diaper cake from everyone. It was super cute!
It has these cute little sandals that a lady from Stefanie's work made!! I am going to have her make me some for the summer. They are too cute!! All in all it was a great day!! Thanks family for all your support!! Here is a picture of all the goods!
I think my baby baby might be spoiled...

I know it has been a while, but I don't really do anything! I work and thats not much to talk about. And I don't think my clients would like to read about their life stories on my blog! I am writing a book for that!!
Today I am 37 weeks. I have made it to my weekly appointments, they checked me last week and I am only dilated to a one, which means pretty much nothing! Today they said I could choose to be checked and opted to pass! Last week was not pleasant and I only want to be miserable when I absolutely have to be! I haven't gotten very big and my drs all say that she will be tiny, which I am fine with! Her heartbeat is good and so far they say everything is as it should be!

Here are some pictures of her room. It is still a mess and not finished just yet. I still have to reupholster the rocking chair, and organize organize organize!! The picture frames on the walls have no pictures in them just yet. I need some of her and haven't decided what to put in some of them! I still have time and I figure why do today what you can put of til tomorrow!! Reason #1 why my bathroom is never clean and the laundry never gets folded!

JACK JOHNSON!!

So Monday night we went to the Jack Johnson concert!! It was AWESOME!! We went with some friends from Cody's work, Jeff and Natalie. We ate at the Cheese Cake Factory, which was really good!! My breakfast burrito was about a foot long and five inches thick! (Not an exaggeration!) It took about two hours to drive 30 blocks, because of the concert traffic. But we only missed the two opening bands. They would have been good to see, but I didn't miss Jack and thats what counts! We were in the pit, which meant we had to stand, but it was AMAZING! We were about 40 feet away from him, we could have gotten closer but I was worried about getting too hot and I did not want to pass out. Although if I had maybe he would have jumped off the stage to rescue me... Maybe I did not think that one threw. The pictures are not super, but they wouldn't do the evening justice anyway!! It was just super awesome and I could not even begin to make you all understand! Thank you Adekwets and your superb rocking skills!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!

Tuesday was my birthday and my wonderful husband surprised me, took the day off and decorated my house!! I only worked half a day and he drove me to work. He told me that he also was going to work half the day, so I didn't really think anything of it. When I got done I called him, and we went to Taco Amigo for lunch. And when we got home this is what I saw...

He had streamers hung everywhere. 300 balloons blown up all over the floor. It was my Harry Potter Party!!! All the streamers were red and gold, because Gryffindor rocks!! Most of the balloons were also red and gold. He had Harry Potter plates and got me red roses with yellow lilys!

All I wanted for my birthday was a ceramic Tiffany's box. For those who don't know... I am obsessed with anything Tiffany's! I keep all my little blue boxes, and pretty much all Cody has to do is open the Tiffany's catalog and buy me something!! I LOVE anything Tiffany's! So I got my box. There are three different sizes so I only need two more to finish off my collection! He also bought me a little tiara. Because I am the princess!! But probably not for long!

He really is so good to me!! He tried to have a surprise party but since I got off so early it didn't work out. But he did invite a few people over for some tasty ice cream cake. My mom and little brother came, his parent came and brought his niece and nephew. His sister Stefanie and her husband stopped by and a few of our friends!! I haven't had a birthday party for years so it was a lot of fun! Thanks everyone for coming!! I love to read, so my mom and Cody's mom bought me gift cards to buy some books. I got a gift certificate to Taco Amigo, and my friend Erin bought me this awesome book of puzzles!! I love doing crosswords and word searches, sudoku, and pretty much anything like that! It is an awesome book, and since I had never gave her, her Christmas present last year. She also got presents!! It was a great party. All the little kids loved playing with all my balloons. The cake was great! The company was great! It was pretty much a great day!! Sabrina stopped by a little later (she had to work) and brought me some beautiful flowers!
Thanks to all my friends and family!! You guys are great!! And thanks most of all to my super awesome husband!! He is always so thoughtful (something I need to work on!!) and I LOVE you very much!! I don't know what I would do without you!!!

ROCK BAND!!!

So for the last month Cody's work has been putting on a rock band competition. For those who don't know, it is a video game where you have a drummer, bassist, guitarist, and a singer. The whole time Cody's band (The Adekwets) has been in second place. They had to play two songs, three different times for a total of six songs. Today was the final and fourth show. The top four bands played today at the company's summer party. Each band had to play the same first song (Dani California- Red Hot Chili Peppers) and then chose the second song. They played More than a feeling by Boston. They were judged by the score on the first song, the score from three judges, and then the audience voted for their favorite. I must begin by saying I was FREAKING OUT!!! Fourth place got 25$, third got 50$, second got 100$, and first place got 200$ AND Jack Johnson tickets!! Who by the way is one of my very favorite performers EVER!! So I was FREAKING OUT!!! Cody's band played third and the first two bands were just alright. During our band practices The Adekwets would score around 1.5 million on Dani California, so I went in to it feeling good. But when none of the other bands broke 1 million I was feeling great!! They started out in cover alls, and when they were done with their first song the judges told them they were a little boring and needed to liven it up a bit. So Jeff (our drummer) said "You want us to liven it up...?" Then they all took off their cover alls and underneath they all had on polyester pants and crazy shirts! The audience went wild! Cody and Jeff put on black afro wigs and the bassist (Devon) had a hat on with a mullet coming out the back! It was hilarious!! They rocked their second song (our singer Heather even did the splits!!) and needless to say totally kicked TRASH and took FIRST!!! I AM GOING TO JACK JOHNSON!!!!! Then when they were announcing the winners, one of the founders decided that the cash prizes weren't high enough so we got 300$ instead of 200$! Good thing my birthday is on Tuesday!!! I video tapped the performances on my digital camera, so they aren't super great. And it only recorded for half the song, so there are two recordings per song. Don't turn up the volume too loud, I do scream a little in the second song. But it isn't too bad just be warned! In the first song Cody is wearing sunglasses and no hat, and in the second song he is wearing the Orange pants and green and orange shirt!! PS Everyones final scores: the last place team got around 1.3 million and the third place team got around 1.7 million. The second place team got over 2 million and they didn't even announce our score because we had over THREE million!!! Thats right won by a landslide!! You also need to pause my song player at the side of my page to hear the music!!

Titled just for Andrea!

So Cody has been making me go to church. Yes making me. (I don't need any comments mom, papa and laura!!!) I don't mind the sacrament part of things but I could do without sunday school and relief society! I am sorry but they are boring and I would rather do other things!! But it really hasn't been bad so far... so far! I have met a few nice people, and hopefully I never offend them when they sit by me in relief society and I roll my eyes and make comments under my breath!! Which I have been known to do... But anyway yesterday I went on an Activity Days activity with the girls ages 8-11. We went to camp Jeremiah Johnson in Springville. It is a boy scout day camp. The girls got to shoot BB guns, spend some time at the Archery range, race boats across a "Lake" (or large pond), and do some crafts. It was pretty fun and the girls seemed to enjoy themselves! When I was that age we got to learn how to make cookies and then had to share them with the boys!! We never got to do such fun things! I learned that I don't have as much patience as I thought!! It was really hot when we first got there, and that was not awesome!! When it did cool down, it was fun. But like I said patience.... When it was just our 12 girls it was not that bad, but when ALL of them came together... Luckily it was only at the beginning and in the end. But some could be so obnoxious!! I NEVER acted in such a way!!! It also brought back a lot of memories! Some were sooo shy, believe it or not, I used to be extremely shy. And then there were the ones who LOVED being center of attention, I also went threw that phase! I know that most people do, you just don't really remember until you see someone else going threw it!! But like I said it was pretty fun, and I am glad I happened to have an afternoon off so I could go!! Thanks Chelsey for asking me!!! Here are just a few group pictures. The girls wanted a goofy one at the end!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY APRIL!!!!

I am now 28 weeks! Cody only freaks out every now and then when I remind him!! Her room is finished, minus the furniture! So when everything gets put together I will take some pictures. Our Drs appt went well. My glucose tested a little high so I have to take a three hour test at the hospital. Dr. Thorpe said that was nothing to worry about and most of the time it comes back normal. I am not looking forward to sitting at the hospital for three hours drinking sugar water! And I have spoken to quite a few friends who have always had to do the three hour test! I don't normally like sugar, I am a very salty kind of a girl, but ever since the dr told me to lay off the sugar until I take the test... THAT IS ALL I WANT!! Soda and candy! SO TASTY!! My goal is that starting tomorrow no more.... But we will see how that goes!
He also said that her little heart beat was a little slow. Also nothing to worry about. Feeling her kick me all day long I know she is fine! Cody said that his heart rate is always slower than normal too. So she will probably just be like her dad! Cody's sister Jaime just had her baby today! So we have a new little niece! CONGRATS JAIME!! Kambri Lynn Hanson was born around six o'clock. We haven't gone to see her. So I will post some pictures later. She was 8 lbs 12 oz and 2o in. 8 FREAKING pounds! That does worry me a little! I am very much hoping for a TINY baby and 8 pounds is not very tiny! Sorry Jaime!! This year both our families will get two babies! April and I are due just a few days apart, and now Cody's mom just has to wait a few more months for another! It is all getting so exciting!!!

UNTITLED

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

I think it's fun to take a trip down memory lane, and it's always good to have a laugh or smile about the past. So leave a comment and I'll do the same for you.:)

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!

We went to a Real (ree-al) Salt Lake Soccer games last night. I didn't get any pictures but is was awesome! We went with Cody's sister Stefanie and his niece Keana. It was their first professional soccer game and I think we got them hooked!
We went to one last year, and it was a little boring!
But last night they played a lot better. Cody said they had new players and that was why.
The ref was not awesome! He kept calling for the other team and even red flagged one of our players which means he got thrown out!! The guy on the other team, whose fault the fight really was, only got a yellow flag so he didn't get thrown out. It was the end of the game so it wasn't that big of a deal. But when the ref called it everyone was so upset! The energy there was awesome! Everyone was throwing things at the refs. And even though I know your know your not supposed to... I probably would have too if I had, had something in my hand! Because the clock ran out while the fight was going on, the refs added four min to the clock, but then called the game after only two!!! That only made the crowd madder! I really hoped that the ref had body guards walking him to his car!! We got home extremely late, and I am exhausted this morning but it worth it. I hope everyone has a great holiday! Eat tons of watermelon, (I think that I have be craving watermelon) and think of those away from loved ones fighting so we can keep celebrating our freedom!

Well I am 24 weeks and finally showing as you can see! Pregnancy sure has a way of changing things!! She moves all the time and every now and then I can see her moving. We still haven't chosen a name, but we still have a couple months. We are also starting to get her room ready. Cody spent all day yesterday pulling out carpet and painting. We put up some new blinds and are well on our way to spending a ton of money!! We still have to get baseboards and new door casing, and paint the rocking chair and dresser. And of course the most important part...buying a crib! Hopefully that will happen before she comes!! I do love decorating so I am having a lot of fun right now! I am so excited to get a new light and find her a lamp and get book shelves and picture frames!! I am mostly going overboard but thats what they tell me you do when it is your first! I am just following instructions!! We haven't really bought her a lot right now, but there is still time! We are trying to stockpile wipes and will probably start getting diapers soon. It is strange buying baby things, we just walk around the stores trying to think of things we will need. I already know we will never be fully prepared, it just doesn't work that way.
But we are doing the best we can!!

We have a cat. I have posted pictures of my lovely dogs, so I figured I should do the same for the cat. I don't hate her...I just don't really like her. She sits in MY chair and she gets her fur all over everything! We have had her a little over a year. She doesn't really have a name. We call her Mow (not mow the lawn, more meow minus the "e") if we call her anything at all. Cody's uncle gave her to us when he got married. We took her in so she wouldn't have to go to the shelter and die. Yes I have a bleeding heart for all animals...even the ones I don't really like! She mostly lived under the couch for the first year at our house. Now she thinks she owns the place! Like sitting in MY CHAIR! She follows me around the house meowing all the day long. If I move she moves, if I get off the couch, she jumps up on the spot I was sitting! Cody says she follows me everywhere because she knows I hate her. I am trying a little reverse psychology type of thing, where I am especially nice to her, hoping that she will leave me alone. No such luck yet. It is still only the first day, but my hopes are not to high!

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

I am 22 weeks today. Still not really showing. I have a little tummy depending on what I wear and if I have eaten, but nothing yet! It hit me today that in a few short months we will have a little baby! I only freaked out a little. But it is strange. We are very excited, it just seems weird that I will be in charge of a tiny little baby. Hopefully we figure out what we are doing before we ruin her for good!
We also don't have any names! We don't really agree on anything! I like the crazy unheard of names, and Cody like all the normal ones! We are open to suggestions, but I do have rules!!

1- no names in the top 20 most popular
I don't want my baby going to school with 500 girls with all the same names!

2- no names that start with C or E
Cody tells a great story about how he never forged his moms signature because they signed their names the same. Her name is Carol and always writes C. Williams... need I say more! I don't need my children coming up with that! I am smart assish enough, they won't need anymore help!

3- it can't be too long.
Our last name is Williams. I don't want my poor four year old learning to write her 25 letter long name!

There can be exceptions to the rules if it happens to be something we love, but we are trying to stick to the guidelines!

Sunday, May 25, 2008

I had my 20 week ultrasound on Fri and everything went well. The technician said everything was normal. She is a mover, and is very modest! She was sitting Indian style the whole time and was frustrating the technician who was just trying to make sure she was a girl! I think she tried for about 10 min and then moved on to make sure the heart was good and measured her arms and legs. Then when she went back, of course she hadn't moved! Cody says she will be stubborn like her mother...
It is still a little hard for me to believe. I can feel her move but as you can see I am just not showing yet! I think it will be easier when I actually have a tummy! You can see a little one, but it is also after dinner! If you ask anyone who knows me I always look a little pregnant after I eat, so nothing is new there! Hope you all have a great Memorial Day!

Wednesday, May 21, 2008

Today I am 20 weeks, halfway done! HURRAY!!! I am sorry all I have to talk about is the little fetus I am cooking. Our lives are very boring!. Cody and I work all day, and then go home to sleep! But it is the most exciting thing that is happening! I can feel her move a lot now, and last night she was squirming around so much Cody felt her too! It is a little odd, but amazing! She is 10 inches, head to toe, and about 1o ounces. It is amazing the things the human body can do! I feel fine but am always tired! I feel bad for Cody because as soon as we get home and sit down, I am out for the night! A friend of mine told me that all the work your body does to cook a baby is like climbing a mountain! I believe it! I have never had so little energy in all my life. One day my bathroom will be clean again! I haven't had any cravings, but I am not sure when that is supposed to kick in. Cody thinks it is gross that I eat pickles and mustard (not together!), but I have always loved pickles and mustard. I have been eating a lot more sugar than normal...but fruit snacks are good for you. They are made of some fruit juice! And I am not showing yet! I will post pictures soon, but there is no tummy yet! Cody is starting to have her listen to music! It is really sweet how excited he as about all of this! Last night she listened to the Dances with Wolves soundtrack. Beautiful music, but it put me right to sleep... but I guess everything puts me sleep right now! Love you all!

The new edition to our family...

Friday, May 16, 2008

For all those who don't know yet, we are expecting a little girl in Oct! Which is part of the reason we are starting this little diddy. We are excited, I wanted a little boy, but Cody is happy to spoil his little princess! We will post some ultrasound pictures when we get them. She looks like a little sea monkey alien in the ones we have, but we will be getting some more soon. I hope they are better!
I also hope you all enjoy my love making turtles from the Honolulu Zoo. I thought it was appropriate for the occasion!
