I try not to complain too much about the weather.

But if it snows one more time, I swear to you, someone is going to get hurt.
I just want to wear shorts and tank tops. I want to walk outside without freezing my ass off, mostly because IT IS NOT COMING OFF.
I don't like it cold. I understand that Utah might not be the ideal place for me, but I don't have control of that at the moment.
My feet have been frozen since Nov. I just want to feel my toes again.

A big one for October, yes it was 4 months ago. Reese turned 2!
Her birthday party was a success and she was ridiculously spoiled. I have been patiently waiting 2 yrs for her tutu to finally fit her. (My friend made it for her when I was pregnant.) It was supposed to fit her around 3-6 months. I almost didn't make it. It was almost too small. But she loved wearing it! And I must say she did look pretty darn cute in it!

As I write this post I am reminded of a time in my life when I thought it would be more fun to have a toddler than a baby. Someone to talk to and play with. I always said that I would much rather have the fighting than the boring baby stage when they just lay there and do nothing.
I take it back. ALL OF IT.
I would give anything to have my house clean again. I am a little OCD when it comes to things being in their place. It makes me a happy person when things are in their home. And EVERYTHING has a home.
It has been hard enough being married. Cody is pretty good about putting his stuff away. There have been some weeks my eye wouldn't stop twitching. But for most of the stories I hear, I will definitely keep him.
Reese is another story. I know she is 2, but if she can learn the alphabet and how to count, she can certainly learn how to pick up her toys.
I have starting taking away toys that she won't pick up and then if she wants them back she has to earn them back by keeping her room clean. She doesn't care. I have a pile of toys in the spare room that Reese is "earning" back. And more piles of toys on her bedroom floor that she won't pick up. The other day I told her that if she didn't pick up her room I was going to get a box out of the basement and put all the toys on floor in it and take them away forever. She starting walking downstairs to help me get the box.
I know she doesn't really understand, but now all of you will know why I will have admitted myself to the State Mental hospital.
Santa got her some princess cloths for Christmas.
Saying she Loves them is an understatement.
One day she wanted to wear one to Grandmas house. Which isn't a big deal, but I told her no. I just didn't want one more thing to have to keep track of. And I am the mom. I said no. She then preceded to run down the hall to ask Cody. Who told her yes. (In his defense he didn't know I said no.) She then told him "Well mom told me no." He then asked why. So she came back in the bathroom and said "Mom why you say no?" And I said "Because I am the mom and I said so." (A line I am becoming very famous for.) And then she told me "Well he is a Dad and he said yes!"

Skydiving

Cody went Skydiving for his 30th birthday. He went with his friend Brandon and Reese, our friend Amie, and I were there for moral support. I think he is crazy! I was a little jealous that he had the guts to do it, but still CRAZY!

Christmas Miracle

I know that it is February, but Valentines Day Miracle just doesn't work.
So it is a Christmas Miracle!!
My computer has been down. She just wouldn't charge anymore. So I woefully said my goodbyes and laid her to rest on top of my dresser. (That is why I have not been posting.)
I started saving my money for a new Lappy, but it is kind of hard when you don't really make any! So last Sunday, bored out of my FREAKING mind, I decided to try and raise my Lappy from the dead. I got a screwdriver so I could try and take her apart. Not knowing what I was doing I unscrewed every screw I could find on the back. Having done that I could not get the back off. So I jiggled some stuff, took the battery off and banged on it a little bit. I found a hole and stuck the screwdriver in it, not the smartest idea, but I was careful and she was not plugged in. Having done everything I could think of, I replaced all the screws and plugged her in.
I got nothing.
So I wiggled the cord around for a min, and Christmas Miracle number 1, her light came on for .5 sec. I have never been so happy!
But that was all she gave me. I brought her out to the kitchen table so I could seriously get down to business, and after a few mins of more cord wiggling... Christmas Miracle number 2, She came to life! I had to let her charge for a while before I could turn her on. But it was like an old friend I hadn't seen for yrs. (Really only months, but it felt like eternity.)
We have some newly established Lappy rules:
The first a most important, NOBODY MOVES LAPPY.
If you touch her cord AT ALL she will stop charging.
That first night she was back I woke up terrified that she would start on fire. I don't know why. I could have been dreaming. But I had to unplug her from the wall just so I could sleep. Luckily she was fine and when I plugged her back in she lit up like a Christmas tree, in a good way.
Second rule ONLY EMMA TOUCHES LAPPY. This rule can be broken by responsible adults with Emma's supervision.
Third rule, REESE DOES NOT SIT BY LAPPY WHEN SHE EATS. I just made up this rule today. We have put away Reese's high chair so she can start eating at the table. But we have a really high table so I have been letting her eat at her little table. It hasn't worked out so well since she can get up and down whenever she wants. It has always taken her an amazingly long time to eat, it is just worse now that she can leave the table whether I like it or not. Today she ate lunch at the big table, right next to Lappy. She didn't touch it, but I just don't want her little food fingers all over my Lappy, especially in her delicate state.
So far those are all the rules I have, but I will establish more as needed.
I have also decided that this is not going to be just Reese's blog anymore. I need an outlet for stuff. I am not really creative, I can't draw, I would love to learn how to paint, but that is a pretty pricey hobby. I just feel like I have pent up emotion or energy and I need a release. So until I win Publishers Clearing House and become ridiculously wealthy I am going to be releasing it all here. I must apologize now to the people I will most likely offend, because sometimes I do that, and only sometimes am I sorry about it. I would like to write a book one day. So I am going to practice the writing skills that I don't have here. Writing is free and it is a good way to release all that stuff that needs released. I am still going to write about Reese and post pictures and all that good stuff. She is cute and says funny things. But it is just not going to be all about Reese. Although a lot of that pent up stuff I was talking about is because she drives me beyond crazy.
Reason number 40 she will most likely be an only child.
I am going to slowly start updating, there just isn't a lot. I have been slaking on the picture taking lately.
PS I am in a Friends phase right now due to the Friends marathon I just finished. I will be referring to them a lot.

State Fair

I LOVE the State fair. I have gone every year but 2 maybe 3 times. I love everything about the fair, the animals, the tasty greasy food, the smells, and of course the crazy fair people! I had my first funnel cake this year. It was delicious. I was only slightly disappointed that it is just a fancy scone, but I will still eat them. They are yummy yummy. Cody ate a deep fried snickers and loved it. Nothing beats my fried PB&J. That was the most amazing fair food I have ever eaten!
My dad has always worked at the fair. In AZ I remember he would help judge the animals, or maybe just help tally the scores. I mostly remember eating donuts and playing around so I could be wrong about what he actually did. But here in Utah he works with the FFA students. For a while they just had a petting zoo, which was really fun, but for the last couple years the have had Little Hands on the Farm. It is so fun! The kids get a basket and an apron and they milk the fake cow, plant vegetables, pick fruit, brush a stuffed sheep, ride a little tractor bike around. And when they are done they take their goods and sell them to the market. Then they take their farmer money and get to buy a treat. It is so great! Reese was a little unsure at first, but she got the hang of it towards the end. And my dad loved showing her off to the kids he works with and helping her work on the farm!

Bandaids

One day Cody's mom came home with a bunch of books from the dollar store. I think Reese had more fun playing with the labels we peeled off of them than reading the books! She put them up and down her legs and kept asking us to kiss her owies better. She even walked with a little bit of a fake limp. That could have been because she didn't want her "bandaids" to fall off, but it was still funny.

The Zoo

We took Reese to the zoo a few months ago. She LOVED it. We are pretty lucky because there isn't much that she doesn't enjoy! She rode the carousel, the first ride she was a little nervous, but the second ride she cried when she had to get off! She also liked riding the train! She loved looking at all the animals and only got spoiled a little!
Watching the monkeys. She loves monkeys. She laughed hysterically when they jumped around.
The giraffe was nice enough to stand next to the measuring wall so I could get a pic of how tall he was! I didn't even have to ask.
Cody got some amazing pictures of the tigers, but I of course don't have them on my computer. They are on the desk top that is still living at his parents house. That is where Reese's carousel pictures are too. Maybe one day I will post them. Probably not.

Hiking

We took Reese hiking up to a water fall in Alpine. I learned a lot that day.

One, it sucks taking a 1 yr old on a 3 mile hike. I actually knew this, I was just reminded of it the entire time.
Two, people are stupid. We have 2 Siberian Huskies. Yes they look a little like wolves, but not that much. They look like dogs. But we ran into some people hiking that thought they had run into a pack of wolves. Seriously? THERE WERE TWO. I don't think that constitutes a "pack". They said they were so relieved when they saw their collars. I just rolled my eyes thinking stupid hippies.

And three, I hate hiking. I used to love it! In fact I was really surprised when I finally admitted it to myself . I think I still like camping, but I haven't been for so long that I can't be sure anymore.

I hate walking up a mountain that looks like every other mountain. They all have the same dirt, the same rocks, the same trees, the same flowers, same animals. I like driving in a car up the mountain much better. I don't mind so much coming back down the mountain. I don't know if it is because I know I going home, or that it really is easier for me. But it doesn't hurt my bones like going up does.

I hate that I can't breath. That is because of growing up in Arizona, the whole lung development at sea level vs lung development really high above sea level. But it hurts breathing so heavy for so long.

This hike only proved to me more that I should be a city dweller, visiting the mountains on weekends or holidays while sitting in a car. Getting my exercise on amazing shopping trips. Stopping at a tasty cafe eating delicious pastries and drinking frozen treats.

I have learned some things in my 7 years of marriage that were different when we dated. The biggest thing has been that we both wanted to move out of Utah and live in other countries. I have since learned that will never happen. Cody still tries to tell me that he is just waiting for the right time, his job right now won't let him, blah blah blah. It really is because he will never leave his family. I am actually shocked that he willingly move out of his parents basement! I am glad he is such a family man, I am glad we have both our families so close, but I still want to move.

The reason for my little tale is that I always tease him that he lied to me to get me hooked, and now I am addicted and can't leave! He told me what I wanted to hear so that I would fall in love and stay by his side forever. Which I plan on doing, so his evil plan worked.

But I realize that I did the same thing about this hiking crap. At the time, I loved it. At the time, I wanted to go all the time. At the time, I wanted to tell Cody anything he wanted to hear so he would fall in love and stay by my side forever. I am guilty. Although I didn't realize it at the time, I hate hiking. I am sorry Cody! It makes me beyond cranky. I would rather be watching a 3 day marathon of CSI Miami.

And for those of you that don't know, I hate CSI Miami more than I hate anything else on the face of the planet, except hiking.

FINALLY

We finally got to move to our new house!! After what felt like an eternity and one very nice but meant to be mean email later, our house is finally done and we have moved in! All the boxes are almost unpacked and the catch all spare room has a little trail to get to the other side! It is so nice being back in my own house. I do appreciate Cody's parents very much for letting us stay in the basement 5 months longer than we thought we would, but there is nothing better than your own place!
We got a new couch that is a little big for the room, but I LOVE it! We should be getting our blinds next week and I am using the neighbors internet. I figure that if they aren't smart enough to lock it up, then it is mine for the taking! Plus I think it is the house across the street and that is what they get for watching us move all our stuff on Mon and not offering to help. Nosy little buggers!
I am still working on catching up from over the summer, I still have a few pictures on my camera I need to download and of course put up the rest of the house pictures!
Reese loves having her own room and she got a big girl bed last night. We just have the mattress on the floor right now, but hopefully soon we will find her a good bed.
We don't have an antenna or satellite right now, we just watch a lot of movies. Mostly Enchanted. I forgot how much I love it! Poor Cody does have to watch a lot of Princess movies now. But I LOVE it!
And I will be going back to work soon. I am a little happy about it, but also a little sad. I am happy to get to see my clients again, that is if that haven't all found someone new! But at the same time I don't want to do it. It is nice playing with Reese all day. Even the days she drives me crazy and I want to lock her in the closet... actually I will not miss those days. They are not fun. I think having a break from her a few days a week will be nice on my nerves and our relationship. I just need to find a place to work, and then let everyone know.
It is going to be a busy next couple of weeks.

One weekend Cody's mom watched his sister's cat Simon. He is really the most awesome cat in the world and if I wasn't so allergic, he would be mine, because I would steal him. But Reese loves him, and I believe that he loves Reese too. So much that he let her use him as a pillow.

Horse back riding

Reese loves horses! She is always asking to ride a pony or watch the horse movie. (Spirit) Lucky for us her Auntie Laura has a horse! We have only gone riding once, but she loved it! We went with our friends the Taylor's whose daughter just want to ride a horse for her birthday. It was so much fun! And now I want my own pony.

Jack Johnson

I love Jack Johnson. He makes me happy. And I am so glad that Cody likes him to, and takes me to his concerts. This was our third Jack Johnson concert and by far my favorite. ALO was the first band. They are pretty good. I don't love them, but some of their songs are pretty awesome. Then it was G Love's turn. He is super awesome! He usually tours with Jack, so we have seen him a few times. He has a jazzy, rappy, chillin vibe about him. I would recommend trying him out. He is also known as G Love and Special Sauce. And he plays some mean harmonica. Then it was 2 glorious hours of Jack. He is awesome. It was a great night!

Car Rides

We went for a ride up the canyon and few weeks ago and about half way up I turned around and saw this.She is such a weirdo sometimes!
This is how she rode to Granny's, not the entire time, but a lot of the time.

I am just glad that, for the most part, she likes car rides, and is usually pretty good.

New Mexico again!

At the end of July Reese and I went back to New Mexico! My parents were going for a visit and we saw no reason why we shouldn't get to go too! On our way we spent a night in Santa Fe. It was amazing! I have always wanted to go and I can't wait to go back!

We were so excited to be back at Granny's!

We didn't too much this visit. Mostly because we all got sick, but it was nice just hanging out again.

Reese is a bubble-aholic! She can never get enough! Then Granny brought out the fly swatter to make bubbles and she was in heaven! We couldn't get it to work as well as I remember, but Reese had fun anyway!

Reese loved playing with Papa! Running around the yard and balancing on the cement border around the yard!

We went to Ruidoso to the horse museum. We have been going there since I was little and we always take a picture on this horse! I loved sharing my memories with Reese this summer!

Floaties

In July Reese graduated from her swim tube to an awesome pair of Floaties. They pretty much took up her entire forearm and she could never put her arms down at her side. But she LOVED them. She would just float around the pool or lazy river in heaven!

New Mexico

One of the fun things we got to do is go visit my Granny and Gramps in New Mexico. I love going to visit and it is so fun getting to see family that we haven't seen in years! And it was so fun getting to go with April and her family.
We stopped at the Grand Canyon on our way down. It was amazing! I lived in AZ for 12 yrs and never stopped. I am glad I can scratch it off the list. But I definitely plan on going back and maybe doing some hiking. Or at least a donkey ride down into the canyon.

We went to Lincoln where the infamous Billy the Kid fought in the Lincoln County war. I already love that story and of course LOVE Young Guns! It was awesome getting to see the place where it actually happened and learning a little bit more about the people that lived there.

We also went to Roswell to see the aliens. I am glad to say I have been there done that, and even gladder to say that I never have to do it again! It was great, once. I don't know if i could do it twice. April and Jason love it and they could probably go a hundred times. We went swimming with my Granny Oma one day.

In June my sister and her family left Hawaii to move to Virgina and on their way, they spent a few weeks here in Utah. It was so fun playing with them everyday and Reese LOVED LOVED LOVED playing with Clark and Harry. She misses them so much and get so excited every time she sees their pictures.

I have been extremely lazy lately and have not wanted to blog. I am sure you have all noticed this. I haven't exactly decided if I should just do a slide show of our summer fun or do individual posts, but as soon as I make that decision you will be the first to know. I did try to write a blog last week, but I couldn't get my video to download and then I just got mad.
So soon there will be new posts.
And then they will stop again for a while.
We had better be moving into our new house in the next week or two and I won't have internet for a while. I will try to catch up this week so that I won't be so far behind. Wish me luck. I will need it.

Story time.

Once upon a time Auntie April came to visit. While she was here she cleaned out some of the boxes Nana was storing for her and she found a Ferbie.
Auntie April was kind enough to share her little treasure with little Reesy who LOVED it. Then Nana, being the thoughtful lady that she is, put fresh batteries in it. Being the little smarty that Mommy is, she purposefully left it at Nana's house for her and Papa to enjoy. But but being the evil genius that Nana is, she snuck it into a bag of Reese's things and Reese took it home.
Reese took her Ferbie everywhere, nap time was an especially fun Ferbie time.
One day Mommy had had enough Ferbie nap time and took it away and hid it in a dark secret place where it could sleep in peace forever, or until she remembered to take the batteries out.
2 peaceful and quiet months later mommy got a cold and woke up one night looking for the roll the toilet paper she keeps on hand to blow her nose when needed.
As she reaches under her bed she brushes against something soft and fuzzy. Being the brave Mommy that she is, she doesn't scream but goes in further to investigate this strange thing. She reaches further in and finds ears, within seconds she realizes that her scary watch dogs are way to big to fit under the bed, and are sleeping soundly outside. And Miss Kitty does not sleep downstairs because of the evil wizard who cursed Mommy with allergies.
Her first instinct is to scream and run away, but instead she grabs the scary monster and starts pulling it out.
The second she start moving it she hears. "ahhh. good morning. Me hungry." As her heart stops for a split second she remembers the dark secret hiding place of the the evil Ferbie.
Under the bed.
Realizing how loud it is she tries to quiet it so she wouldn't wake up the entire castle and anger the giant living up stairs. But the great thing about Ferbies, is the more you move them, the more they make noise. With Daddy laughing uncontrollably, Mommy racks her brain for a new hiding place. Then she remembers in the depths of the dungeon is a great walk in closet that has lots of dark caves in which to hide things. Running as fast as she can she throws the Ferbie in farthest cave and seals the Ferbie in with unbreakable jeans so the Ferbie can never escape and seals off the obnoxious mumbling forever.
Stumbling back to her bed in the dark with a pounding heart and a stuffy nose, she collapses on the bed relieved that the horrible nightmare is over. Hopefully she remembers to take the batteries out.

One Sunday morning we went up to watch the paragliders, and hang gliders. (I am pretty sure that is what it is called.) Reese thought it was so cool and just watched in amazement at the people flying. I wish I wasn't such a chicken, I would like to try something like that sometime. I will go sky diving one day. I figure if I keep telling myself that, one day I will actually do it.
There were a lot of people out, you just can't see them all. It was really cool watching them land and "take off". It really is quite a bit of work. Something you probably shouldn't do alone. Always fly with a buddy.

New House

We are building!!! Here is a picture of our lot. Hopefully they will dig the hole soon! It is in Lehi, a place I never thought I would ever move back too, and it is a third of an acre! Just enough room for 2 big dogs to run around and 1 little Reese. It will be so nice to have my own house back! We just signed on the plans and we are busy picking out all the colors and fun things like that! They say that if your marriage can survive building a house, it can survive anything. So far so good.

Reese and Kambri love playing with these gift bags. Sometimes they are purses, this time they were hats! They were being so funny, so I went to get my camera, and then they stopped. It is still cute, but they were twirling in circles, running into everything, and yelling Boo at everyone. It is so cute when they play together. Las Vegas

Cody and I went on our first vacation with out Reese to Vegas. It was so much fun! I missed Reese the second we dropped her off and felt guilty the whole time that she might be missing out on something. But she got spoiled ridiculously by her Auntie Stefanie and Uncle Brock, so I don't feel too bad. It was definitely nice to get out of Utah for a while and be warm for once!

This at the Bellagio. They have this beautiful garden inside that had blown glass art, giant bugs, and flowers, it was pretty amazing.

Laura bought me one of those cute flower headbands for Christmas, but Reese has taken it for herself and it is now her hat. She loves to wear it all around. If I try to wear it she starts crying for her hat. But she looks pretty cute in it so I don't really care so much. I can share.

Dance Competition

We spent one afternoon at my niece's dance competition. She did great! And if I remember right they got first in all their dances! Reese did so much better than I thought she would. 5 hours of dancing would normally not be ideal for a 1 yr old. But she did good! She clapped and laughed and cheered (as good as a one yr old can!) and got so excited whenever a new dance started! Keana's last dance was called Night at the Museum she was one of the mokeys. Reese walked around holding onto her tail! It was pretty cute. Keana even taught Reese how to do a cartwheel. I couldn't get it on video, but it is pretty cute. I am still working on it.

Pizza

Bike

Reese got a new bike! She can't reach the pedals, but it has a handy handle for me push her around on! She loves it! It has been so cold that we haven't been able to ride it much but whenever we go outside, she runs right to the shed and starts saying "bike please". I love that she likes to be outside, and I hope the days get nicer soon so we can spend more time out there "riding" her bike.

We went to Pirate Pizza for my nephew Justin's Birthday. I really liked it. The food was a thousand times better than Chucky Cheese, and the place was decked out! I was very impressed! After we finished cleaning the carpets at our old house, we went to visit our friends the Taylor's. Reese loves playing with her little friend Kenton! They used to live across the street and whenever we went outside she would point across the street and make a mad dash to their house.

I couldn't get all three to look at me at the same time. Reese and Kenton always have to share their drinks. It doesn't matter that they are drinking the exact same thing, they have to switch. So in this picture Kenton has Reese's sippy and she has his. Adalee is Kenton's big sister, she loves when we come over so she can be a little mother to Reese. She calls her baby Reese and gets the biggest grin when she sees us. We sure do love playing with our friends!

We finally moved out last weekend. I wasn't as sad as I thought I would be, but we aren't closing until this afternoon, so the tears could still come. Cody is pretty sad. It is the second longest place he has lived. And it was our first home and little Reesy's first home. It is very bittersweet. I am very excited to find a new home. I do feel bad for our Realtor though. Cody and I don't really like the same things. It will be an interesting experience.

Auntie Stefanie bought Reese this puppy for Christmas. It is really cute! You can program it to say her name, and her favorite food, color, animal etc. Reese loves it. Yesterday she was singing with it twirling around the living room. It took her about 20 min to get her puppy, her blanket and fold her couch like that!

Granny and Gramps

Granny and Gramps came for Christmas because Cody got married. It was so much fun. On their way to our house, they had a little accident and their car needed some work. So they had to stay a little longer than they originally thought. All of us loved that they got to stay longer, but it would have been nicer under other circumstances.

Reese loved playing with her GG every day! She made Granny sit with her on this step every morning. She wouldn't say anything when she walked in, just ran over to her seat, looking over her shoulder every now and then to make sure Granny was following.

This was the best picture I could get of Reese and Gramps. She does not sit still! She would sit by him for 2 seconds and then want down. But it was cute when she sat by him. As quick as it was.

What a month! I forgot to tell you all that, in October we put our house up for sale. In November we sold it. And in December we were supposed to move. Our buyers financing didn't go through, so after packing up half our house, we didn't move. So 10 days before Christmas we put up our Christmas tree. Hopefully we will be moving soon. The same people are still buying, we just had to put off the closing until after the new year.

We went to see Santa! She normally really likes Santa! The picture that we got from the photographer (12yr old girl at RC Willey, but was free!) is better, but we packed our scanner.

She was happier when she got to eat her candy cane.

This was on Christmas, on our way to Grandma's annual Christmas breakfast. Again, all the Christmas morning pictures are on Cody's camera, and I don't download those to my computer. She loved her new baby.

And my little brother got married! He was the last, so the next wedding in the family with be my nephews or Reese. Crazy!

We went to HAWAII!! It was amazing! Cody's family decided to go, so we went along. The plane ride went smoothly, except when Reese hit the guy in front of us. He had already met her, so he wasn't upset. She loved the ocean, she loved walking around everywhere, she slept really good, she did awesome! And she had so much fun playing with her cousins. We all had a blast!

We did some other things in November. Thanksgiving a major something. But I didn't get pictures of anything else. I was (am) upset about having to come back to Utah.

Laura, Reese and I went back to the Zoo. Laura wanted to see the baby elephant. And I love the Zoo. Even the crappy ones make me happy!

Cody and I got to see the B-52's. They came to Xango's convention. It was a lot of fun. But not something I would actually pay money for. Thank you Xango. But only for that. You don't do much else for me.

Cody was nice the other morning and got Reese up for me so I could sleep in little. I couldn't sleep in too long because he had to go to work, but it is the thought! I only stayed in bed for a few minutes and when I got up this is what I found.
She always likes to crawl under the table, but this was the first time she made it under a chair. If she hadn't been enjoying it so much I would make it be her time out spot. And it was a little funny when she couldn't figure how to get out of it!

Living Planet Aquarium

Cody took a few days off work last week, so we went to the living planet aquarium. It was pretty awesome! The price was right and is was cool inside. There was a big group of kids that went in right before we did, but they were cute and excited, not loud and in the way as much as I thought they would be. I loved petting the Sting Rays, and Reese loved watching all the fish. Cody now wants a Jelly Fish tank in our house. Which could be pretty awesome!

Llama Fest

We went down to Llama Fest at the Hare Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. It was bloody hot!! But still fun. I have never been and I am glad we went. It wasn't expensive, and they had Llama races, and obstacle courses. There was food and a few booths set up. They were playing beautiful music and was nice to sit and watch and listen for a minute. Reese seemed to like the Llamas, even though they did not like her very much!

The Temple is absolutely beautiful! I am so glad I finally made it over to see it.

Rock Band II

Sorry I am sucking at updating my blog! I am making a goal to do one a week so that I don't have to do 15 in one day anymore! At the beginning of the month was Cody's company summer party. Xango rented out Seven Peaks for the night. It was a lot of fun. The best summer party I have been to! They had a rock band competition again, and the Adeqwets entered to defend their title. Alas they did not. It wasn't as important this time around because Jack Johnson was not involved, nor happiness of my marriage. They did their best, but only got third place. It would have been nice to have a couple hundred dollars in our pockets, but again we could care less. The game wasn't working right and was off a bit. But Cody found out they only lost by a couple hundred thousand points. Which, you who play rock band know isn't really alot. They had some pretty good costumes this year. Not as awesome as last year, but really no one cared the band, the audience. It was all over done. Once was good. Twice lame. Enjoy Cody and his short shorts!

July 4th

I know I am a little late, but I was busy cleaning my whole house yesterday. Yes thats right, my WHOLE house. Vacuumed the WHOLE house. Cleaned BOTH bathrooms. Did ALL the laundry and even folded it and put it away. Cleaned the kitchen, DUSTED the WHOLE house (which is huge cause I hate dusting), and went to Reese's drs appt. It was a busy day and now I don't have to worry about for a few days! But HAPPY FOURTH of JULY only 3 days late! We didn't do too much. We went swimming at the AF rec center which sucked a lot. (It didn't really but if too many people know it is awesome then it will be to crowded the next time I go. Best little kid pool area I have ever been to!) Reese goes to bed at 8 so we didn't watch any fireworks, but we heard Stadium of Fire's and my neighborhood did a bunch.
Reese is not officially 9 months yet, but her Dr is going out of town so we had to go a little early. She weighs a whopping 14 lbs 7 oz and is 26 inches long. He said she will just be tall and skinny. Which is fine because then she can be a model and buy her mama a big house and a flashy car!! She didn't have to get shots, but they did have to prick her finger to check if she is anemic and some other things. Perfectly normal he said. She started clapping a few weeks ago, and every now and then it sounds like she says mamama. My little tiny is getting so big! She walks around as long as you are holding her hands and she even stands by herself for almost 5 seconds. I know not that big of a deal, but she makes me proud! We love you little Greasy Reesey!!

More Swimming

We bought a little pool for Reese to swim in. It has been great! The water was still a little cold though. We had to use hot water from the sink so that we could even stand putting our feet in. I know, we are whiners!!

Yellowstone

I love going to Yellowstone. I have only been twice but I love watching the animals. We saw buffalo, elk, deer, antelope, coyotes, and this time got to see and wolf and two bears! One of the bears was up on a ridge and could only be seen with a spotting scope, or binoculars. And the wolf was also to far for pictures. But I was still so excited! Reese did really well driving around everywhere. She only got crabby every now and then. I lost my wallet on the first day, but didn't realize it was gone until the second day. We looked everywhere! Everyone searched the car at least a hundred times, we looked in our bags, around the cabin, and went to all the places that we had stopped or sat down. But found nothing. I couldn't help thinking of all the hundreds of people in West Yellowstone, why was it the dishonest one to find my wallet. I called and canceled my cards, and started dreading the DMV lines for a new license. I figure everyone has to deal with something like this at least once in their lives. It teaches you things for the future. Even with losing my wallet, the trip was great! Cody got food poisoning the last day, and luckily it didn't hit until night so he didn't have to miss anything. It rained a little the first day on one of our hikes, but just a light drizzle. And it rained the last day so we couldn't go to a few of the lakes Cody wanted to see. It did rain all night on Sat and snowed a little in the park, and it poured the whole way home. While driving home, enjoying the rain and my crossword puzzles. I decided that my seatbelt was a little too tight. So I sat up a bit to loosen it, looked down, and there between the wall of the car and my seat, sitting on the belt, was my wallet. I was dumbfounded. I can not tell you how many times we searched the car, all four of us had sat in that seat at least once. It was almost as if someone found it and placed it there when I wasn't looking! I am happy to have it back, I just wish my seat belt would have been too tight before I had called and canceled my cards! Oh well, lesson learned!

Bear World

We went to Yellowstone over the weekend, and stopped at Bear World on our way. Bear World was fun. Reese loved petting the animals and wanted to play with the bear cubs. She loves animals. I was a little disappointed with it. It was fun seeing the bears, and one wolf, and a white elk. But I thought it would be bigger. Not a 5 min drive through 2 acres of sleeping bears. But I am glad we stopped. Just to say we did it!

There were some fawns born just a few hours before we got there, so that was also fun to see the tiny baby deer.

Reese LOVES swimming! We have only taken her twice, but it has not stopped raining for about two weeks. We bought her a little pool for our house, but again, rain. I am glad she likes the sun and water. Maybe when she can talk, we can talk Cody into moving to the beach. Two against one might work!

Just Mint

I have been searching for just mint ice cream for I don't know how long. I don't like crap in my ice cream unless I put it there. Chocolate chip mint is good, but it has the chocolate crap in it. I like the peppermint ice cream at Christmas, but it is only out at Christmas. If I want mint the other 11 months of the year I am screwed. So this little diddy is a shout out to my peeps over at Haagen-Dazs. Thank you for Just Mint ice cream. Thank you for making this tasty little treat before I had to start sending letters to all the ice cream companys. How hard is it to make just mint ice cream? Obviously not that hard since Haagen-Dazs did in with just five ingrediants. Five simple ingrediants Milk, Cream, Sugar, Eggs and Mint. Thank you Haagen-Dazs. You have always been my ice cream brand of choice, and for this I will never cheat. It will always be just me and you, just mint Haagen-Dazs.

Swinging

Laura and I had a picnic in the park a couple of days ago. Reese LOVED the swing! She has always loved her own swing, but loved when we pushed her high on the big swings. It may be hard to hear her little laugh so you might have to turn up the volume.

7 Months

Reese is now 7 months old. 7 MONTHS! It is so crazy! She started getting teeth, you can kind of see them in this picture. And she is trying to crawl. She does this little scooting thing that Cody thinks looks like a worm. That video is soon to come! She has grown so much since we last went to the dr. She finally out grew her newborn cloths and we took the padding out of her car seat! She is a crazy sleeper and rolls all over her crib. Cody is becoming more paranoid the more active she gets. But it is nice to know he cares! She loves to attack the cat, and as worried as I was, the cat is fine with it! The first couple times she hissed at Reese a little, but now Reese will pull her hair and smack her around and the cat just lays there!
Cody's little sister Trisha got married May 16, and she wanted the little girls to wear tutus. Kambry was sick, and didn't wear hers so I couldn't get any pictures of the two of them together, but it still turned out really cute. I don't have any pictures of Trisha and Craig yet, but I will put

Yesterday was Easter and Reese's 6 month birthday! We go to the Dr on Wed to see how fat she is, and to get some fun shots!! We have had a busy week, my little sister got married last Thurs, so we had all the family back in town!

We took a photo similar to this the night before I got married, so we had to recreate it for Laura's wedding.
